Hundreds of Pride events happen around the world
From Akron to Yellowknife, from Columbus to Copenhagen, the world is ringed with Pride parades, festivals, gay days and picnics.
Interpride, the International Association of Lesbian, Gay Bisexual, Transgendered Pride Coordinators, listed 200 Pride events worldwide as of May 8. About half of these104 are in the United States. Last year, there were 95 events in the U.S. and 187 worldwide.
Not all are in June. Some are in the fall, to avoid conflict with June Pride events in other cities.
